Texas Pete hot sauce recalled

Two varieties of Texas Pete hot sauce are being recalled because of labeling errors.

The recall is for certain bottles of its Habanero Buffalo Sauce and the Sweet CHAbanero Sauce.

The company says the bottles of the Habanero Buffalo Sauce may contain sriracha. The Sweet CHAbanero Sauce failed to include the ingredient, aged peppers, on its label.

The FDA says people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
