Easter weekend will be getting hot with temperatures returning to the low 80s this afternoon. A strong ridge will park over the southeast, leading to sunny and dry conditions through Saturday with highs reaching the mid 80s. Breezy as well with winds out of the southwest, pulling in more tropical moisture which will lead to a bit more mugginess returning to the forecast. Easter Sunday will be mostly cloudy, but still warm with highs in the mid 80s, and limited rain chances. As the ridge begins to weaken next week a cold front will start to push into the region, but it won’t be strong enough to cut through the ridge, leading to increased rain and storm chances through the middle of the week as the front stalls just south of the area. Severe threat will remain limited as well, but something to monitor next week.
