New York man arrested in Gaston County

GASTONIA, N.C. – A man wanted in connection to a murder in New York is now in custody, thanks to the Gastonia Police Department.

Phillip Lydell was arrested Friday morning on Barclay Street in Gastonia.

According to police, the Staten Island man was involved in a homicide that happened on March 28.

Lydell will remain in the Gaston County Jail until he can be extradited back to New York.
