CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The CMPD is conducting a death investigation after a body was found in northwest Charlotte.
The body was found behind the East Stonewall A.M.E. Zion Church on Grier Grove Road.
The pastor of the church says a landscaping company discovered the body Friday morning.
Officials say the person has been dead for some time and the body is decomposing.
