CONCORD, NC – A Concord woman is dead and her husband is in jail charged with her murder.
Police were called to a home on Princess Ave. SW around 10:30pm on Sunday for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found 65-year-old Miriam Blue-Hopkins dead.
Investigators believe her husband, 67-year-old Michael Hopkins, shot her during a fight.
He is charged with second degree murder. Hopkins is locked up in the Cabarrus County jail on a $1million bond.
