Tree Crashes Through Home, Injures One

GASTONIA, NC —Β An elderly man rescued Friday night after a large tree crashed through his trailer and right on top of him. Β It happened on Scott Drive in Gastonia around 5pm. Β
It took over an hour for crews to cut the tree piece by piece, until they could reach the man.
“I knew that he was sitting in his recliner when the tree fell… and it fell right on top of him,” said Gastonia resident Nora Dunn.
Police aren’t releasing the man’s name. Β We’re told he has life-threatening injuries.
