Two In Custody, One Still Wanted In Union County Carjacking Case

INDIAN TRAIL, NC — Deputies have arrested two suspects wanted for a carjacking, robbery, and kidnapping that took place last weekend. They say they are still looking for third suspect.

Detectives say one of the two females involved was identified as Jamaya Marshall, 22, of Charlotte. She has been charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, 1st Degree Kidnapping, Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Unlawfully Obtaining Credit Card, and three counts of Financial Card Fraud.

Marques Jenkins, 33, of Charlotte, has also been charged with charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, 1st Degree Kidnapping, Larceny of Motor Vehicle. According to officials, Jenkins was already in custody in Mecklenburg County on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Those charges stemmed from an incident that officials say took place shortly after the carjacking.

Deputies say the incident happened on Sun Valley Commons. According to reports, two teenagers were in an 2012 Audi A7 when the suspects ordered them out of the car at gunpoint, and then forced one of them into their getaway car. That victim was then released a few miles away in the Kerry Greens subdivision in Stallings, deputies say.

Deputies say they are still looking for Brittany Jackson, 25, of Charlotte. Once found, she will also be charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, 1st Degree Kidnapping, Larceny of Motor Vehicle.

The Audi is still missing, according to detectives, and the investigation is ongoing.
