FEMA says approx. 200 families in WNC still living in temporary housing after Helene
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – FEMA gave an update Tuesday on Hurricane Helene relief efforts across North Carolina.
The agency says more than $450 million have been approved for nearly 160,000 households, including money for rent, basic home repairs and other disaster-caused needs.
Almost 200 families are still living in temporary housing units. Nearly 8 million cubic yards of debris have been cleared.
