NC residents have less than 2 months to file claim against 23andMe

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – People living in North Carolina have less than two months to file claims against 23andMe over the company’s 2023 security breach.

NC Attorney General Jeff Jackson was investigating 23andMe over the data breach when the company filed for bankruptcy protection.

You’re eligible to file a claim if you meet one of three criteria:

-You were a 23andMe customer between May and October of 2023
-You received notice that your personal information was compromised in the breach
-You suffered damages from the breach
