Nationwide FBI Led Child Sex Trafficking Sting Saves Over 80 Victims, 3 From NC

NORTH CAROLINA — A nationwide FBI child sex trafficking sting included several victims from North Carolina.

Across the country, 84 minors were rescued and 120 traffickers were arrested during the operation. 11 of those suspects and three minors that were rescued are from NC.

Several law enforcement agencies in North Carolina were involved in the sting, including Charlotte, Raleigh, and Fayetteville. CMPD also thanked non-government organizations who help victims after they’re rescued.

Operation Cross Country ran from October 12th-15th. It has been led by the FBI for over 11 years.
