CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating a pair of overnight homicides, both in north Charlotte.
The first happened just after midnight in the 9300 block of Broken Pine Lane.
When officers arrived, they located one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other homicide happened around 2 a.m. on North Graham Street and Craighead Road. Police said they located 17-year-old Navaeh Carter in a vehicle with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on scene.
Both incidents are under an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 704-432-8477 and speak directly to a Homicide Unit detective.
