Free, outdoor movie nights coming to Uptown Charlotte this June

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —Friday nights in Uptown just got better this summer. Movies in the Park kicks off this June, bringing free outdoor movies to Fourth Ward Park every Friday evening.

It’s a chance for families, neighbors, and Charlotteans of all ages, to enjoy classic films, local food trucks, and great company—all in one of Uptown’s most charming green spaces.

Hosted in partnership with Charlotte Parks & Recreation, the Movies, Music and Movement series aims to bring people together and add some extra magic to Uptown’s summer.

Location: Fourth Ward Park – 301 N. Poplar St., Charlotte, NC 28202

Dates: Fridays – June 6, 13, 20, and 27
Time: Music and food trucks start at 7:30 p.m.
Movies begin at sunset (around 8:30 p.m.)
Perk: Free popcorn for the first 100 guests!

“We’re excited to launch this new series as a way to bring neighbors together and celebrate summer in the city,” said Robert Krumbine, Chief Creative Officer at Charlotte Center City Partners. “Whether you’re bringing the whole family or meeting up with friends, Movies in the Park offers something for everyone.”

Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, and snacks. On-site restrooms will be available, and no tickets or registration are required—just show up and enjoy!
