MONROE, NC – A drive-by shooting in Monroe sent two people to the hospital Sunday night.
The shooting happened around 11 pm at a house on E. East Avenue.
Someone called 911 saying two people at the house had been shot.
Witnesses told police a vehicle drove by the home with a person inside that vehicle opened fire.
Officers performed first aid on the victims until EMS arrived.
The victims were taken to the hospital and were in stable condition.
