MONROE, N.C. – A woman was fatally struck by a car in Monroe overnight.
Around 1 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of West Roosevelt Boulevard and Morgan Mill Road in regards to a pedestrian being hit by a car.
Upon arrival, officers located a woman unconscious and not breathing, authorities said.
Life-saving efforts were administered, but the woman died from her injuries.
