Police: UNC Charlotte Professor Arrested For Sexual Exploitation Of A Child

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a UNC Charlotte professor has been arrested on several sexual exploitation of a minor charges.

CMPD arrested Robert Herman-Smith.  He was an associate professor in social work, according to the university’s website.

A spokesperson for the school said the university was aware of his arrest and has suspended Herman-Smith from the university.

Officials say this is a federal case.  No other details have been released at this time.
