STATESVILLE, NC — The latest round of severe weather comes as people in Statesville clean up damage from a storm on Friday. The National Weather Service says straight-line winds are to blame. Trees toppled over, some crashed down on several houses. Local emergency management officials are keeping a close eye on the forecast, with rain and the possibility of stormy weather, and so is Duke Energy.
