CHARLOTTE, NC — Kirk Farm Fields, one of our Park and Recreation facilities located on East Mallard Creek Church Road, will be closed for the next four weeks after a nearby wastewater pipe burst due to severe weather on Oct. 23.
Closing the fields will ensure safety for our residents while Park and Recreation and Charlotte Water work to perform maintenance and cleanup efforts in the area.
During this time, patrons who normally use the fields as an access point for Mallard Creek and Clark’s Creek greenways, are encouraged to park at Mallard Creek Elementary School, 9801 Mallard Creek Road. There is a greenway access point located near the school.
