CHESTER, SC — An investigation is underway to determine what caused a 2-year-old girl to die Wednesday morning.
Police say EMS received a call around 8:20am for an unresponsive child at a home on White Oak Street. 2-year-oldΒ Khloe Simone Adams was taken to Chester Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead.
Officials say Chester Police and SLED are both involved in the investigation. At this time, officials have not said what may have led to the child’s death or if foul play is suspected. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed Thursday.
