BMW Recalls 1.4M Vehicles for Fire Risk

AP — BMW is recalling 1.4 million vehicles over a fire risk in two separate recalls. The recalls affect 3-series, 5-series, X5, X3 and the Z3.

The first recall covers a part in the engine that can short-circuit and melt, even if the car isn’t in use.

The second recall involves an overheating risk due to faulty wiring in the heating and air conditioning system.
