Rock Hill Police shoot woman they say was pointing a gun at an officer

ROCK HILL, S.C. – State law enforcement is investigating after a Rock Hill Police officer shot a suspect Saturday night.

It happened after investigators say the woman pointed the gun (seen in photo) at a deputy near Nassaw Circle and Young Warrior Town Drive while driving around in a Jeep. Police used stop sticks to blow her tires, and a Rock Hill Police officer fired one round, hitting her in the shoulder, after she refused to get out of the car. She is expected to survive.

We’re told no members of law enforcement were hurt.
