One Dead After Shooting Over Parking Dispute In Gaston County
GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — One man is dead and another in jail following a shooting over a parking dispute in Gaston County.
Gaston County Police say officers responded to a shooting in the 4500 block of Dawnwood Dr., where they found Patrick Shawn Schneider, 25, lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers began rendering aid before Gaston Emergency Medical Services took Schneider to Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, where he was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, Gregory Howard Town, 59, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.
Authorities say Town and Schneider were neighbors and the shooting stemmed form an argument over cars parked in front of Town’s residence.
Towns is being held in the Gaston County Jail without bond.
