MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The Iredell County Sheriff’s office confirms that a boy’s body has been pulled from Lake Norman. They say 14-year-old Angel Carabello disappeared Wednesday afternoon in the area of Stutts Road. Multiple units with the ICSO actively searched the area, including drone teams, lake patrol units and deputies canvassing the neighborhood.
The Sheriff’s office then announced that they found Angel’s body near a dock in the lake.
Sheriff Darren Campbell tells us that Angel was at work with his stepfather, who was doing repair work on a nearby home. Campbell says Angel walked away from the work site, and after about 30 minutes his stepfather called for help.
