Holiday Travel Expected To Be Busier Than Ever, Says CLT Airport Officials
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Douglas is expecting holiday travel to be busier than ever this year. They say as many as 30,000 people a day are expected to come through next week.
The TSA is telling passengers to make sure there’s nothing inside their luggage that can’t be brought on a plane. They say new enhanced security makes preparation key.
So far this year, 56 people have been caught with handguns in their luggage at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
