6 people hurt after 2 alarm fire in south Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An investigation is underway after a two-alarm fire at a south Charlotte apartment complex. It started around 5:30 AM Thursday at the Aurea Station Apartments on Winter Oaks Lane. Firefighters say six people were hurt, and three were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Neighbors say it was a scary situation. Liliana Garcia says, “Sirens, sirens, sirens. What’s going on? What’s going on? So I decided to walk all the way by the pool right here. And, all you see is a bunch of police and ambulances coming in.”
There’s still no word on how that fire might have started.
