Shooting investigation shuts down roadway during afternoon rush hour

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An investigation was underway Wednesday after a shooting on East Sugar Creek Road near Garinger High School.

One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. One lane of the roadway was shutdown around 4PM as police investigated.

We’re still asking investigators whether they have any suspects.
