UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Omar Dunbar. Deanna Watson has been arrested and charged with murder in Dunbar’s death.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating a homicide this morning after an apparent domestic dispute turned deadly.
Police responded to a domestic assault with a deadly weapon call just before two o’clock this morning on the 300 block of Cherry Street. When they arrived they found one man suffering from stab wounds, and later pronounced him dead at the scene.
A female in the house was taken to the station voluntarily where she was interviewed by detectives.
Investigators say the man and woman did know each other, and are not looking for any other suspects at this time. The investigation is still underway.
No names have been released yet for the male victim or female involved.
