Police Investigate Shooting in Northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC – Police are searching for a gunman after a shooting in Northwest Charlotte. We’re still waiting to learn more about the victim and their injuries.

Investigators say it happened just before 6:00 Sunday night on Weststone Drive, off Freedom Drive.

Officers found one person there with a gunshot wound. Police haven’t said where on their body that person was shot, but MEDIC tells WCCB Charlotte they were taken to CMC with life-threatening injuries.

We’re asking police for more information about the victim and the suspect.
