Restaurant owner catches thief on rooftop
A suspected thief in Charlotte is charged after a Steele Creek area restaurant owner says he caught him on the roof of his business.
Arrest records show Daniel Wallace was discovered on the roof of the restaurant on Westinghouse Boulevard earlier this month when the owner noticed items scattered around and a broken air conditioning unit.
The restaurant was not named.
Wallace is accused of trying to steal several speakers and TVs along with electrical transformers, all together valued at more than $15,000.
The Charlotte Fire Department helped CMPD get Wallace off the roof and behind bars.
