Couple Facing Charges After Woman Kidnapped In Burke County
MORGANTON, N.C. — Police say a couple is facing charges for kidnapping a woman in Burke County.
Investigators say they were called to investigate a kidnapping at Timmerill Mobile Home Park on US Highway 18/64 in Morganton on November 20th.
Investigators interviewed witnesses, processed the scene and were able to retrieve video footage that lead to arrest warrants being issued for Marcus Whisnant and Krisie Parrish.
Officers in Lenoir took Parrish into custody on November 21st. She has been charged with first degree kidnapping and simple assault. She was given a $125,000 bond.
Police are still looking for Whisnant at this time. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
Investigators say the victim was an ex-girlfriend of Whisnant. She reportedly sustained minor injuries during the kidnapping.
