CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Knights take on the Rochester Red Wings at Truist Field as well as the fight against cancer.
Gates will open at 5:00pm and the first 6,000 fans through the gates will receive a Vs. Cancer placard to display in the middle of the fourth inning as part of a special Home Run for Life ceremony.
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Great Clips will be stationed on the concourse throughout the game for fans in attendance that would like a free haircut and to support the cause. Great Clips will also be shaving heads at the end of the fifth inning to raise awareness.
Donations can also be made by texting “PBTF2025” to “41444” or visiting the Charlotte Knights team fundraising page here. Individuals also have the option to create their own fundraising pages.
The Vs. Cancer Auction is another way fans can contribute. Specialty autographed items and Knights memorabilia will be up for auction from July 28 at 10:00am through August 3 at 10:00pm. Bids may be placed at MiLBauctions.com.
The evening will also feature a post-game lantern ceremony, a post-game Fireworks display, and a check presentation ceremony with Great Clips. From June 29 – July 26, Charlotte based Great Clips salons hosted an in-salon fundraiser with the Knights for Vs. Cancer where nearly $54,000 were raised with the help of the local community.
“The Charlotte Knights are committed to the fight against cancer,” stated Knights Executive Vice President and COO Dan Rajkowski. “This Saturday, focusing on that fight and raising awareness will take center stage at Truist Field. We are thankful to our fans and to our community partners like Great Clips that continually make a difference.”
Tickets to Saturday’s game may be purchased by phone at 704-274-8282, in person at the Truist Field Ticket Office located at 324 S. Mint Street, or online at CharlotteKnights.com.
