UPDATE: Crews have restored power to the Park Road area, and have reopened the lanes that were closed while they worked.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Crews are still working to restore power to over 3,600 people in the Park Road area after an accident late Thursday night.
Around ten o’clock Thursday night a vehicle crashed into a power pole on Park Road, knocking out power to thousands in the area.
Crews have been working to repair the downed lines, and hope to have power restored by ten o’clock this morning.
Some lanes are blocked off on Park Road as crews work, so plan your route to try and avoid the area.
