Three Suspects Charged In 2017 Homicide Case

CMPD has charged three suspects in connection to the December 2017 death of 23-year-old Kenneth Edwards.

Calvin Vance, 24, Naytrone Adams, 20, and Tobias Partlow, 24, were arrested Wednesday morning without incident, according to police. They have each been charged with Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

The investigation is still ongoing.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 23-year-old is the victim in Charlotte’s 81st homicide of the year.

Freedom Division patrol officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service on Roadway Street.  Upon arrival they located a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound.  The male was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.

CMPD Detectives say Kenneth Edwards was shot and killed just before 9:30 last night. The incident happened on Roadway Street near Cantwell Street in West Charlotte.

Right now, there is no word on suspects.
