SCDOT Ready To Respond As Snow Threatens Multiple Areas

COLUMBIA, SC — South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) crews will be working after hours this evening, Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, in areas of the state impacted by snow.

Crews are on stand-by statewide and all equipment has been readied and material supplies are on-hand.

SCDOT employees will be working after hours throughout the event as needed in the following counties:

Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Chester, Greenville, Greenwood, Lancaster, Laurens, Newberry, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, Union and York.

Roads in upper elevations of Oconee, Pickens, Greenville and Spartanburg counties are being pre-treated this afternoon.
