CMPD Releases Surveillance Image Of 7-Eleven Homicide Suspect, $15,000 Reward Offered

The CMPD has released an image of the suspect wanted for shooting and killing a 7-Eleven employee in southwest Charlotte.

A $15,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the murder of Khaled Mohamad Elmerkabaoui.

The CMPD is offering $5,000 along with $10,000 from 7-Eleven.

CHARLOTTE, NC –Police are now looking for five witnesses in connection to a convenience store employee who was found shot to death in southwest Charlotte Saturday morning.

CMPD released the following surveillance photos of witnesses who may have information regarding the murder of Elmerkabaoui.

The shooting happened at the 7-Eleven located at 735 Westinghouse Boulevard around 3:21 a.m. on December 9th.

The victim, 55-year-old Khaled Mohamad Elmerkabaoui, was a store employee who was working at the 7-Eleven during the incident.

Witnesses found Elmerkabaoui when they came in to shop and then called police.  Medic pronounced him dead at the scene.

This is Charlotte’s 82nd homicide of 2017.
