Deputies Fired For Damaging Suspect’s Car

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, SC —Β Two deputies inΒ ChesterfieldΒ County are out of jobs, accused of damaging a suspect’s car on purpose.  It happened after a traffic stop turned into a chase last week inΒ Pageland.

When the suspect got out of jail, he noticed his headlights, tail light and side mirror were busted. Β He says the damage did not happen during the chase.

The Sheriff’s Office paid for the repairs, and the suspect did not press charges. Β The names of the deputies are not being released.
