Lincolnton Man Charged With Having Steroids

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Investigators say they arrested a man for possessing a large amount of steroids.

Deputies conducted a search warrant at a home on Clear Creek Circle in Lincolnton.  The homeowner, Nakia Lone Stacey, was arrested after being suspected of transporting large amounts of steroids to and from his residence to nearby gyms and possibly distributing them, according to a news release.

Detectives say the investigation into his activities has been going on for about six months.

On December 13th, authorities found nearly 1,000 dosage units of anabolic steroids inside Stacey’s home, according to a news release.  Detectives say the street value of the drugs is estimated to be around $7,500.

Stacey has been charged with one felony count of possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule III controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.  He received a $9,000 bond.

Detectives say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may be made.
