Humidity Rising With Isolated Storms Possible
Forecast:
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Still nice, just a couple degrees warmer. Lows in the low 60s. Areas of patchy fog around I-40.
Thursday: Warmer with increasing humidity. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Breezy with wind gusts up to 20 mph. Isolated showers possible in the piedmont with more scattered to numerous activity in the mountains. Isolated strong storms are possible Thursday mainly north of I-85. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threats.
Friday: Sunny skies with highs near 90.
Saturday: Sunny with highs above average – in the low 90s.
Sunday: More clouds and cooler. Highs near 80°. Widely scattered showers.
Tropics:
A tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic will likely become a tropical depression late this week or this weekend. Environmental and atmospheric conditions are conducive for development. The National Hurricane Center now gives this an 80% chance of tropical formation. We will watch this closely.
Have a wonderful evening!
