Summer Heat Returns To Close The Week
Late weekend cold front
Forecast:
Tonight: Isolated to widely scattered showers and storms mainly before 10 pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy skies. Lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Friday: Sunny skies with highs in the low 90s.
Saturday: Sunny with highs above average – in the low 90s. Isolated PM showers.
Sunday: More clouds and cooler. Highs near in the upper 70s, near 80°. Widely scattered PM showers.
Monday: Sunny with highs in the upper 70s, near 80. Another beautiful week on tap next week.
Tropics:
A tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic will likely become a tropical depression this weekend. This has been designated Invest 91L. Environmental and atmospheric conditions are conducive for development. The National Hurricane Center now gives this a 90% chance of tropical formation. The next name on the list is Gabrielle. Where this system ends up all depends on steering currents – where and how strong the trough over the eastern U.S. is and how strong the Bermuda high pressure is. We will watch this closely.
Have a wonderful evening!
