Terrific Tuesday, warming up through workweek
Humidity levels and rain chances remain low through the next five days.
The good times keep rolling this Tuesday after a magnificent Monday. Expect another afternoon filled with sunny skies and comfy highs in the 60s and 70s across the board. While the sunshine and low humidity levels stick around, the cooler air will not. Highs will slowly – but steadily – climb into the mid-to-upper 80s around the Metro by the end of the week. The weekend appears to continue the warm and dry trend as highs settle into the mid-80s this Saturday and Sunday in the Queen City. Rain chances will be few and far between through the next five days. Don’t be shocked if we see increased fire danger this weekend and beyond if the dry times continue.
The first two weeks of September typically mark the peak of hurricane season in the tropics, but the Atlantic remains quiet. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) expects no new tropical development over the next 5-7 days. As such, there are no immediate threats to the Carolinas, but we’ll want to stay weather-wise over the next month or so – roughly 50% of all tropical activity occurs on this date or later.
