CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Whataburger will open its first Charlotte location on Thursday. It will serve orange-and-white-striped fun along with fresh, customized burgers, Fancy and Spicy Ketchup, and refreshing shakes and malts.
The restaurant at 12935 Albemarle Road pays respect to Whataburger’s storied history while looking to the future with a forward-thinking design. It features a double drive-thru, spacious dining room, and digital menu boards to serve guests best. A custom interior mural features Queen City iconography.
The first 100 customers will get a free Whataburger swag bag and a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit or Breakfast Taquito. There will also be a performance by the Rhythm of the Rock Marching Band from Rocky River High School in Mint Hill, N.C.
There will also be a Whatabash on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a video game truck.
