Two Children Shot In West Charlotte Home, $5000 Reward Now Offered For Information
CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD Police Chief Kerr Putney says a $5,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting that left two children hospitalized in west Charlotte Thursday morning.
CMPD says one or more suspects intentionally fired at least five shots into a bedroom at the Little Rock Apartments on Leake Street around 1:55am. Police say 9-year-old Jeremiah and 11-year-old Darryl were asleep in their beds when the shooting happened.
Chief Putney says they were each hit with one round during the incident. They were taken to CMC with non-life threatening injuries, and are expected to be okay.
No other injuries were reported.
