Above Average Temperatures, Rain Returns Late Week
Seasonable temperatures return this weekend
Forecast:
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 60s.
Tuesday: Sunny and hot. Highs in the upper 80s.
Wednesday: A summer-like fall day with high temperatures possibly reaching 90Β°.
Thursday: PM scattered showers with coverage increasing late. Highs in the mid 80s.
Friday: Cloudy, rain is likely. Some areas could pick up 1-2”. Highs near 80.
Tropics:
– Hurricane Gabrielle is a major hurricane passing east of Bermuda. Steering currents will continue to drive this storm away from the United States.
– There is a tropical wave with a high chance of development. This could become a hurricane this week or by this weekend. Some models are suggesting this system will follow Gabrielle’s path – possibly farther west. We will watch it.
– There is another disturbance east of the Lesser Antilles. This has a medium chance of development, but is one we should watch. There is a lot of uncertainty on the track or if it develops.
Have a wonderful week!
