The Edge: More Americans are using PTO to catch-up on sleep
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Paid time-off once meant beach trips and sightseeing. For many Americans, it now means catching up on sleep. According to a new Amerisleep survey of more than 1,200 Americans, researchers found that 43% of millennials used PTO days in the past year just to sleep, while 35% said they had taken a vacation primarily to rest. They found that factors like work demands, and access to wellness services, have made it hard for people to get rest.
