Comfortable Fall Weather Continues

Minor changes move in Thursday

Sunshine galore continues CLT! If you were looking for ideal fall weather it has arrived. Tonight, will be clear and tranquil, with calm conditions expected. A few areas, particularly in the mountain valleys, may experience patchy fog overnight into Tuesday morning. Temperatures will dip into the mid-50s before sunrise. Tuesday will be another warm day in the 80s with wind gust out of the northeast up to 20 mph.

A batch of cooler air will start to move in from the northeast as a strong ridge of high pressure settles to our north by the end of the week. While it won’t feel quite like winter, temperatures will dip below average, with highs falling into the 60s and 70s by Thursday afternoon. The next chance for rain comes this weekend as a weak cold front approaches the Carolinas from the west. Although the rain chances appear modest, a few showers could reach the WCCB Charlotte viewing area between Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Despite the possibility of rain, temperatures are expected to rise back toward 80°F around the Metro area this weekend.
