CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a CSX train at approximately 9:52 a.m. ET on October 20th. The incident occurred near the crossing at Central Ave and Lamar Ave in Plaza Midwood.
WCCB Charlotte reached out to CSX and they informed us Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Charlotte Fire were notified and quickly responded to the scene and later reported the individual was fatally injured.
There were no injuries to the train crew.
