CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. – Deputies in Catawba County are investigating a homicide after doing a welfare check on Tuesday, according to a news release.
Deputies say they were sent to a home along Swinging Bridge Road, which is owned by David Mize.
No one answered the door and no one was found inside, but deputies say they did discover signs of foul play.
The investigation led them to a location in Caldwell County where the body of David Mize was located, according to a news release.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in this investigation.
