CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have charged a man they say robbed a Wells Fargo in the south Charlotte area Thursday morning.
The robbery happened around 9:38am at the bank located at 712 Tyvola Road. After obtaining a suspect description, police were able to locate Ronald Parker, 49, in the area and arrested him after a brief foot chase.
Officials say Parker entered the bank armed with what turned out to be a BB gun, and demanded money before taking off on foot.
He is charged with Common Law Robbery, and was also served several outstanding warrants not related to the bank robbery.
