CONCORD, NC — A Concord woman is in critical, but stable condition after deputies say she was stabbed multiple times during a domestic dispute.
Around 4:38am, deputies responded to a domestic incident on Merrymount Court. When they arrived, officials say they found Anastacia White-McFadden, 40, on a neighbor’s front porch with multiple stab wounds.
Deputies say she fled her home after the stabbing to get help from a neighbor, and collapsed on the front porch before deputies arrived. Anastacia was taken to Carolinas Healthcare System NorthEast where she underwent surgery for her injuries. Officials say she is in critical, but stable condition.
Anastacia’s husband, Kelsey McFadden, 43, was located and arrested in Charlotte around 9:30am. He is charged with Attempted Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury, and Kidnapping.
According to reports, Anastacia called deputies around 9:20pm Wednesday in regards to a domestic dispute. Kelsey had left the home by the time deputies arrived, and officials say their was no evidence of injury or assault to support pursuing him at that time.
Shortly before midnight, deputies say Kelsey returned to the home with a friend for belongings and then left. Around 4am however, is when officials say he returned once more and the stabbing occurred.
Officials say the couple’s juvenile children were not home when the incident occurred.
