Police Trying To Identify Suspect Wanted For Multiple Armed Robberies

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD needs help identifying a man they say has robbed at least two businesses in the last month.

Police say the man robbed a Family Dollar around 10:43am Monday on Sunset Road. The employee told officers that the suspect implied he had a gun and then took off with money from the cash register.

Around 12:26pm on December 13, the same suspect is believed to have robbed the Rite Aid on Freedom Drive at Tuckaseegee Road. There, police say the suspect also implied that he was armed but did not get away with anything from the store.

The suspect in both cases is described as a black male, in his 20s, and wearing a black hoodie.
