Beautiful start to November

Watching Sunday night for some rain

It was a terrific Saturday across the WCCB Charlotte viewing area! Plentiful sunshine and comfortable temperatures dominated the day. The good news is I see plenty more of that over the next week. However, we will need to dodge some rain Sunday night and into Monday morning. Sunday itself looks dry, although cloud cover will increase as a weak low pressure develops along the Carolina coast. Highs will be in the low 60s in the foothills and Piedmont. With temperatures reaching the low 50s in the High Country. By Sunday night, showers try to work in, but they look scattered at best, and only last through early Monday. The highest rain chances will be east of I-77, and we look to all be dry by Monday afternoon.

Once the rain leaves an incredible week sets up with temperatures near average, and no rain through at least Friday. This does unfortunately mean that our drought concerns remain elevated across the area. It’ll also be important to be mindful of wildfire concerns this week as dry conditions increase the threat.

A friendly reminder that tonight we set back the clocks an hour! Enjoy the extra hour of sleep tonight, and don’t be caught off guard by the early sunset tomorrow. The sun will officially rise at 6:46 AM and set at 5:27 PM on Sunday in the Queen City!
